Until We Find Peace
I don't know where you are or what you're doing, but I know something about you: I know you want to have peace in your soul. I know you want to breathe deep the goodness of your maker. My heart breaks for a world that fills its hearts with empty promises, for a nation that puts its hopes in feeble man, for a soul that can't hear the call of the redeemer. How sweet it is to find rest in Christ! How true and just and right is His redeeming love! When we can turn down the volume in our heads, when we can listen to his voice, then can we find peace. Stocks will fall and rise, Democrats and Republicans will come and go, and yet we always seem to place our hope in them. Instead, may we always find rest in our Lord. May we find peace in his constancy and his truth. Amen.
